Guy Chapman was Managing Director of the full service marketing/PR/media agency Target Live 2007-20; specialising in theatre, dance, classical music and opera, literature, art exhibitions, museums and attractions. As well as numerous West End shows major clients included The Royal Collections, Bolshoi Ballet, Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake, St Petersburg Ballet and venues such as South Bank Centre and the Barbican Centre.
As a Producer and General Manager Guy has worked across many productions both in UK and beyond. His first production was Phyllis Nagy’s Disappeared (UK tour and Royal Court Theatre), which won numerous awards. With G&J Productions, Guy co-produced Mark Ravenhill’s Shopping And F***Ing at the Gielguid Theatre, Queens Theatre, UK tour and at the New York Theatre Workshop. He has also co-produced National Theatre if Brent’s Love Upon The Throne (Edinburgh Festival, Bush Theatre, Comedy Theatre London and Berlin)) Julian Mitchell’s Another Country (UK tour and Arts Theatre London), Jacki Clunes Chicks With Flicks, the London premiere of Enda Walsh’s Disco Pigs, world premiere of Sarah Kane’s Crave with Paines Plough (Traverse Theatre, UK tour, Dublin Theatre Festival, Royal Court Theatre, Berlin and Copenhagen), The Snowman (Peacock Theatre), London premiere of Terrence McNally’s Corpus Christie (Pleasance), UK premiere of Frank McGuiness’s Dolly West’s Kitchen (Old Vic, London). In 2020/21 he producer/co-producer on Abba Mania at the Shaftesbury Theatre, The Language Of Kindness on tour and on the filmed streams of Martin Sherman’s Rose and Scramouche Jones.
General Management has included an eight week London Palladium season of Beyond Bollywood, Eifman Ballet at London Coliseum as well as for many years The Mark Baldwin Dance Company, Aletta Collins Dance Company and Nahid Sadiqui (UK tours and London seasons). Recently worked on Closer Than Ever and a musical theatre adaptation of Lady Chatterley’s Lover at the Shaftesbury Theatre.
